Chief Engineer in United States

Summary

HMG is looking for a Chief Engineer for a 45m+ motor yacht.

• Y4 Minimum required (or Equivalent)

• At least 5 years on motor yachts as Chief.

• B1B2 required.

• Trade background highly desired.

• Start ASAP. 

A motor yacht is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to join their team of 9. Heavy Charter yacht, operating Caribbean/Bahamas.

You must have good experience with modern Yacht systems, MTU main engines, Northern Lights Gens, Quantum Stabs, last refitted in 2020, currently in Shipyard. Proven longevity in previous roles highly desired.

Candidates near to Florida given preference.

2nd Engineer available when not on charter, they work deck on charter.

Shared cabin, salary at 10k USD+ DOE. 

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/3 Y4 Chief Engineer (<200gt <1500kW)/ EOOW III/1 (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
