Summary

We are looking for an experienced, bright and enthusiastic Chief Steward/ess for a professionally run, dual season, 75m+ Private/Light Charter MY. Our candidate must have 4 years experience as a Chief Stewardess on similar size vessels with experience in leading a large team and with proven longevity in previous roles. This is a Rotational position.

Our ideal candidate is confident and dynamic in interacting with guests of all levels (the owner has children), has excellent service skills and a confident refinement in the service she provides. Detail orientated and pro-active, you will see a job through and prioritise effectively to ensure the highest standards are met. 

Our ideal candidate is organized, a great communicator and great at thinking on her feet, with excellent problem-solving skills, a calm demeanour and loves to provide the highest level of service and exceed guest expectations.

This is a guest facing role as the primary will only be served meals by the Chief Steward/ess and whilst he is onboard.

The vessel has great SOP´s set in place so we are not looking for a candidate who would like to change all procedures onboard. The owner has had yachts for a long time so he knows what he likes and how he would like certain things done.

Our ideal candidate is confident in all aspects of the interior with strong knowledge of HoH and Service, great at leading and motivating her team of 7 in a professional but positive, calm and encouraging manner. To be able to ´take things as they come” and make good decisions on her feet.

Strong service and silver service knowledge is essential.

We are looking for a positive, upbeat, outgoing and bubbly personality, good sense of humor and someone that can have some banter. Must be able to form a good relationship with her rotating partner and other department heads and work as a team. This is a professional, down-to-earth and level-headed crew, so no egos or drama queens. It is important for our candidate to have a good sense of humour, easy-going, tolerant and resourceful.

This is a Dual season MY with MED/CAR/Bahamas.

Interior team of 7, consisting of Chief Stew, 2nd Stew, 3rd Stew, Laundry Stewardess, 3 Stewardesses.

This role would best suit a candidate who would like to join a dual season MY with a social and lovely crew onboard. They have a fantastic team onboard who enjoys a happy and professional working environment.


Job Title: Chief Steward/ess

Contract: Rotation 2:2

Yacht: Private/ Light Charter MY

Starting date: 20th November for an extended handover

About the program: CAR/MED


Required Documents/Certificates: STCW, ENG1, PDSD, Food & Hygiene Level 2, B1B2 in hand, WSET level 2 and other certificates are a bonus.


Requirements for application: 4 years’ experience as Chief Steward/ess on a 65m+ MY with proven longevity, min 2 years on the same boat, Strong Service and Silver knowledge and organizational skills, Great communicator and listener, Good verifiable references. Confident and skilled.


Salary: Euros DOE
