The candidate specification
We are seeking an energetic, sociable, and committed female deckhand to join the crew of a private yacht. This exciting role offers the opportunity to be part of an active and dynamic team. The yacht will spend the winter based in Barcelona, undergoing yard work, before beginning its cruising season around April 1st.
The primary focus of this position is on traditional deckhand duties, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the yacht. When guests are on board, the role will also involve leading basic fitness sessions with the guests or owners for approximately one hour per day. While a formal personal trainer qualification is not required, confidence, high energy, and a positive attitude are essential to create an engaging workout experience.
Candidates should have at least 6 months of prior yachting experience on a 40M+ yacht and strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent guest interaction. A Yacht Rating or Yachtmaster qualification is beneficial but not mandatory.
