- Cleaning / Washing
Keeping the decks spotless will always be one of the primary duties of any deckhand. This includes washing down surfaces, scrubbing decks, and ensuring that all areas are kept clean and tidy at all times. Having a clean deck is essential for various reasons. Firstly, it helps with safety on board. A dirty deck can increase the risk of slips and falls, which can lead to injuries.
