CEVNI Waterways Test/Assessment

This is a legal requirement if you go on any European inland waterways. This is a four-hour course spread over 2 evenings (with homework in between).

Fee: £20 - includes all course materials

All “boatmasters” (CEVNI term) are required to have an ICC endorsed for “Inland Waters” when using the European inland waterways.

Anyone with a Day Skipper practical or above is entitled to an ICC, but taking the CEVNI test is the only way to get it endorsed for European “Inland Waterways”

We do not have a comparable test for UK inland waters.

Anyone wishing to learn a bit about travelling on the canals and rivers in Europe should take the CEVNI.
