Crisis Management & Human Behaviour

This course enables candidates to become more aware of possible emergency and crisis situations that can occur on board passenger ships. Through the use of scenarios and discussions, you will develop a better understanding of human behaviour in crisis situations and develop skills to be able to maintain control, reduce panic and induce calm in an emergency situation.

The course covers the following subjects

What is a crisis?

Training and drills; teamwork and its importance

Leadership

Personal strengths and weaknesses in a crisis

Stress and basic human instincts of panic, fear, anger and heroism

Effective communications

We run this training on-board our ship, Sea Trident every Sunday.

We can schedule it on demand as well - and run it subject to minimum numbers.

There are no formal requirements for this course however you should be over 18 years of age.

If booked along with the STCW Basic Safety Training Week, the price is £105 incl. VAT.
