ELECTRONIC CHART DISPLAY & INFORMATION SYSTEMS (ECDIS) IMO MODEL COURSE 1.27

This course provides instruction on the use and operation of ECDIS through understanding the capabilities and limitations of the system.

Practical exercises using desktop simulators reinforce the theory and provide an opportunity to develop and practice responses to training scenarios.

Entry Requirements:

All Deck Officers who hold a Certificate of Competence issued in accordance with the 2010 Manila Amendments should be trained in the use of ECDIS.
