Description:
The course syllabus covers the mandatory minimum requirements prescribed in Regulation VI/1, and Section A-VI/1 of STCW '95
Objectives:
Trainees who successfully complete this course shall be able to demonstrate the required minimum standard of competence set out in STCW’95 Table A-VI/1-2 for Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting.
Entry Standards:
This course is open to both prospective and serving seafarers.
Trainees shall be medically fit for physical training.
Minimum number of participants is ten (10) and maximum is twenty-four (24).
Certification:
A certificate of successful completion shall be issued to those participants who successfully complete the course and meet the assessment criteria.
This course forms part of the Basic Safety Training course.
