Food Hygiene (HABC Level 2)

Our Level 2 Food Safety at Sea course is accredited by Highfield Qualifications and is listed in MCA MIN 689 under the qualification number 603/0967/2 meaning it is recognised by the MCA as meeting the minimum requirements for ship’s cooks, catering staff and other persons processing food in the galley and satisfies the training requirement for catering staff under the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC).

Our Level 2 Food Safety at Sea course can be attended virtually (via Zoom) with a remote invigilated exam at a date/time that suits you. Please contact us if none of the dates work for you and we’ll do our best to accommodate your requirement.

If you are crew on superyachts or just simply involved in the preparation or handling of food onboard a vessel then our Level 2 Food Safety at Sea course is the one for you.

Useful Information

The Course is run entirely over Zoom, all you need to attend the course and sit the exam is:

Reasonable internet connection

A quiet room where you will not be disturbed

The exam is completed by remote invigilation, using an app on your smartphone, the remote invigilator monitors you to ensure you are sitting your exam under complying exam conditions. This allows you to complete an MCA accepted Food Safety Course from any location.
