H.E.L.M. Human Elements, Leadership and Management

The IMO Convention on Standards of Training Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) released the Manila Amendments to ensure that the highest standards of seafarer competence are maintained. We have developed the H.E.L.M. training courses to cover the new STCW requirements on leadership and teamwork skills of your officers.

Our H.E.L.M. training courses for deck and engine officers are designed the way that all officers (deck and engine) will do the theoretical parts and briefings together, to grant better communication between both groups. For the daily practical exercises the ship handling simulator and the ship engine simulator will be connected. Deck crew and engine crew will solve problems together.

For the practical exercises we us different exercise environments from all over the world.

Our H.E.L.M. BRM and ERM training courses cover all requirements of STCW 2010 ‚Manila Amendments‘ (table part A tables A-II/1, A-III/1, A-III/6, A-II/2 and A-III/2) and are certified by DNV GL.
