Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (A-VI/1-4)

STCW PSSR COURSE DETAILS:

One of the five safety courses that makes up STCW Basic Safety Course. The STCW 1995 with STCW 2010 ammendmnets Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities (STCW PSSR) course introduces those new to commercial vessels to some of the health and safety issues that face the super yachts and shipping industries. The course is recognised throughout the world by every IMO signatory nation on the planet and id part of te STCW 95 Code of Practice and STCW 10 amendments.

STCW PSSR COURSE OVERVIEW:

A half day of shorebased training on safety issues and procedures unique to the maritime world. The course introduces new seafarers and super-yacht crew to many of the social issues they will face working at sea.

Training and certification are provided by an external MCA Approved Training Provider under their MCA accreditation. The course is run from Hythe, near Southampton.
