This course covers the following topics

ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) Code

Co-ordination and implementation of a ship security plan

Maintain and supervise the operation of a ship security plan

Monitoring of the ship’s security environment and any necessary modifications, updates or reviews of the ship security plan elements

Regular security inspections of ships to ensure appropriate security measures are maintained

Co-ordinate all the security aspects involved on-board passenger or cargo carrying vessels

Global piracy awareness

Course Structure

This course is conducted over a three day period of theoretical and practical training. The course also comprises practical scenarios and underpinning theory in addition to utilising some of the industry’s operational detection and electronic sensing devices. This course is taught at the Red Ensign training facility in Cowes.
