Course content:
This course follows the contents of the MNTB syllabus for Ship Security Officer, in compliance with the introduction of the International Ship & Port Facility Security Code (ISPS code) and SOLAS Amendments 2002.
Entry requirements:
Candidates should have either;
12 months sea service; or appropriate sea service and knowledge of ships operations to give them sufficient knowledge and practical experience of merchant vessel operations to enable them to achieve the objectives of the training and be able, if required, to undertake the duties and responsibilities of an SSO on completion of the training.
