This course is designed to provide the seafarer with the knowledge required to fulfil designated security duties in connection with a Ship Security Plan. This course has been developed in accordance with the Maritime Labour Convention and the Manila Amendments of 2010. Those who successfully complete the course should be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge to undertake the duties assigned under the SSP.
The course is approved by the UK DfT Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA).
