Course Structure
Proficiency in Medical First Aid (STCW 95 A-VI/4-1)
This four-day course is for seafarers designated to provide first aid on board ship and those needing certificates of competency. The level of knowledge gained will be sufficient to enable the seafarer to take immediate action in the case of injury or illness.
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive a Proficiency in Medical First Aid certificate.
This course also includes Automated External Defibrillation training and a separate certificate for this is issued to successful students.

Proof of age and photo ID is required for inspection at course commencement.

Final practical with oral questions.
Teaching methods
A mixture of theory and practical sessions - students are required to undertake some study outside of classroom hours.
