Course Structure
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- To reach the minimum standards of competence as set by IMO.?
- Competent to participate effectively in coordinated schemes for medical assistance on ships at sea.
- To provide immediate first aid to the sick or injured with a satisfactory standard while they remain on board.?

Useful Information
ENROLMENT STANDARDS:
- Have successfully completed training in Elementary First Aid on board ship or a similar standard in elementary first aid.
- Must be at least 17 years of age.

Transport Malta – STCW Merchant Shipping Directorate
ASSESSMENT:
100% Attendance
CERTIFICATION:
Course Completion Certificate which will enable the participant to submit an application to obtain a Certificate of Proficiency from Transport Malta.
