The Coastal Skipper course teaches the skills required to skipper a yacht on coastal cruises but may not give the experience needed to undertake longer passages. The main aspects of the course are offshore and coastal navigation, pilotage and meteorology. This course requires a certificate in first aid and SRC/DCS radio operators licence.
