RYA Coastal Skipper

The Coastal Skipper course aims to teach the skills and techniques required to skipper a cruising yacht, safely on coastal and offshore passages by day and night.

Useful Information

We strongly recommend having completed the First Aid, VHF and Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory courses first.

To be eligble for the practical exam, candidates must be 17 or over and require;

A VHF SRC certificate or higher

A valid first aid certificate

Seatime - 30 days, 800 miles, 12 night hours
