This is a basic coastal navigation, seamanship and safety at sea course leading to the award of a recognised RYA certificate.

Students will learn the theory to enable them to navigate a small cruising boat from coastal harbour to coastal harbour around the U.K. The course is delivered through lectures, discussions, exercises and set homework.

Students completing the assessment papers satisfactorily will be awarded the RYA Dayskipper (Shorebased) Certificate.
