RYA Day Skipper

Having run Ocean Adventures Sailing for the past 8 years we are taking a sabbatical from running practical course but we are still selling and supporting the excellent RYA Day Skipper online theory with Navathome.

RYA guidelines for the Day Skipper Practical course it\'s for:

“ aspiring skippers with some yachting experience and basic navigation and sailing skills\"

So you will want to be able to crew through your previous sailing or have completed an RYA Competent Crew course already.

We also recommend, before taking your practical, that you have either completed or are working through an RYA Day Skipper Theory Course or have acquired a good understanding of tides, navigation, buoyage & rules of the road, as you will be putting the theory into practice! But if a little rusty on the theory, don’t worry, we’re here to help you get the most out of the practical.
