RYA Day Skipper

Becoming a skipper is a challenge. Managing your crew, planning your passage and making the correct decisions become easier with practice. By taking your RYA Day Skipper practical course you can learn the skills necessary to skipper a yacht by day in familiar waters.

Put your theory into practice and learn to skipper a yacht in familiar waters by day. Learn to leave and return from your berth safely, anchoring, picking up a mooring buoy, recover a man over board, navigation, and safety on board a yacht. Hone your sailing skills, experience sailing at night and enjoy sailing to a different port each evening.

We run the RYA Day Skipper course as a mid week 5-day course or over a 2 and 3-day weekend from our base in Hamble. Enjoy sailing the sheltered waters of the Solent during your 5 days.
