RYA Diesel Engine Course

A full day discovering how the engine works on your yacht - we will look at basic checks and maintenance procedures to keep the engine healthy and ways to start an engine again in case of emergency.

Learn the basics of how a diesel engine works (suck, squeeze, bang, blow!) how to 'W-O-B-B-L-E' your engine and what to look out for when carrying out your daily checks.

You don't need any prior mechanical knowledge to join us on this course - and it should be essential learning for any aspiring Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster Offshore candidates!
