RYA First Aid

MYCT can provide a variety of first aid training courses from a 6 hour activities first aid course to fully comprehensive three day first aid at work.

We are also currently offering a unique programme of first aid training combined with activities. The course is spread over two days and participant’s will gain a nationally recognised Emergency First Aid at Work certificate upon completion.

Course Structure

Day 1:

09.00 Introduction and Health & Safety brief, Rules and Regulations

09.10 Primary and Secondary surveys – DRABC

10.30 Break for coffee etc

10.45 Basic Life Support – adult & child

Choking – adult & child

12.30 Lunch break

13:00 Team building/problem solving exercises â?? Rescue Fido, Electric Fences, Nightline

15:00 Recap of the day and finish

Day 2:

09:00 Quick recap of Day 1 course content

09:30 Causes of unconsciousness – those most relevant to the delegates including Heart Attack, Stroke, Asthma, Epilepsy, Diabetes and Anaphylaxis

10:30 Break for coffee etc

10:45 Bleeding, Shock, Fractures and Burns

12:00 Certificates Awarded

12:30 Lunch

13:00 Activity Sessions – Archery, Orienteering and Abseiling

15:00 Finish

Useful Information

This course is charged at £50 per person (min. group size of 15).
