RYA First Aid

This three day course enables successful candidates to be designated as a First Aider at their workplace. It also gives a thorough grounding in all the major areas of First Aid. The course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

The course is normally run over three days (18 hours) but it can also be run in smaller sections to suit your requirements.

Practical assessments are carried out by the tutor throughout the course along with two multi-choice knowledge checks.

Useful Information

The certificate is valid for 3 years. To requalify candidates will have to undertake a two-day refresher course no later than 1 month after the expiry date of their previous certificate.

HSE advise that candidates shall remain competent in their role. We strongly recommend that the best way to do this is to undertake an annual ½ day refresher course which we run. Please check our course diary for the dates.
