RYA First Aid

This is a one day course that covers the basic knowledge required by instructors and volunteers working within watersports. It is approved by both the HSE and MCA. In addition to the usual topics covered on a one day first aid course, drowning, hypothermia and cold water shock are also covered. This course is suitable for all those who will be working upto 60 nautical miles from a safe haven. The training is kept as practical as possible to help learn new skills.

This is also an excellent course for people who are not involved in watersports but would like to know what to do in an emergency. The current first aid manual is included in the course fee.
