RYA First Aid

In a medical emergency a little first aid knowledge and immediate action can save lives, especially in remote locations such as on a yacht at sea! This one day course is designed to provide a working know ledge of first aid for people using small craft and to support the skipper. The course is MCA and HSE approved and is supported by an in depth First Aid manual, and meets the required standard for those wishing to sit their Yachtmaster exam. The syllabus covers: assessing the situation and environment, respiratory and circulation systems, basic life support, getting help, bleeding, burns, patient movement, heat and cold exposure and numerous other topics.
