RYA Inland Waterways Helmsman's Course

The RYA Inland Waterways Certificate is an internationally recognised certificate and is also recognised by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, (MCA), for commercial use in certain areas. As such, delegates must reach a specific standard by the end of the course. This used to be a one day course for experience boaters only but this is no longer offered by the RYA.

This two-day course will take almost all beginners to a proficient standard of helmsmanship required for the RYA certificate. Equally, our 20 years experience of training has shown on many occasions that even the seasoned boater can still have much to learn and we will happily push the boundaries and show you more tips when you have reached the required level.
