RYA Level 1 (Start Sailing)

These courses are for complete beginners - RYA Level 1 - Start Sailing—through to those who have already

sailed a little perhaps on holiday or on a course some years ago and need a 'refresher' - RYA Level 2 - Basic

Skills.

Depending on your experience and aptitude this three and a half day course will either have you complete

the L1 course and well on your way to L2 , or get you to L2 itself which will give you the capability and

confidence to take a boat out without an instructor in light winds.

Course Code A1 Tues May 31 - Thur June 2 (9.00 - 16.30) & Fri. June 3 (9.00 - 13.00)

Course Code A2 Tues June 28 - Thur June 30 (9.00 - 16.30) & Fri. July 1 (9.00 - 13.00)

Course Code A3 Mon August 1 - Wed 3 August (9.00 - 16.30) & Thur. Aug 4 (9.00 - 13.00)

Cost: £180.00 for the course: £150 for 14-17 year olds. There is a £60.00 introductory membership fee for 1

calendar month on completion of course for non members. Fees include use of club boats, buoyancy aids,

RYA Logbook and RYA Start Sailing Handbook.
