RYA Level 1 (Start Sailing)

This fun and exciting course is the perfect introduction to singlehanded sailing. Your instructor will cover all the basics including rigging, launching, how to sail in all directions and capsize recovery. You will spend most of the course afloat, however short theory sessions will ensure you have an understanding of topics such as tides and weather. By the end of the course you should be confident sailing in light winds under supervision. The course takes two days and once completed you have to skills to sail solo in light winds under supervision. It is recommended that all participants consolidate this short course with the RYA Level 2 course.
