RYA Level 1 (Start Sailing)

Course Overview:

The aim of this two day course is to offer an enjoyable introduction to dinghy sailing where safety, fun and expert tuition are the key elements.

Level: Beginner

Qualification: RYA Level 1 Certificate

Course fee: £190

Duration: 2 Days

Generally we start 2 courses a week. Below are details on how they run;

1. Weekend

Saturday 09.30 - 16.30

Sunday 09.30 - 16.30

2. Weekday

Monday 09.30 - 16.30

Tuesday 09.30 - 16.30

Format:

How to sail in all directions, including an awareness of launching and recovering.

Requirements/ Prerequisites:

No previous sailing experience required

Minimum age 16 years of age. Be able to swim 50 metres. If unable to meet this swimming requirement due to disability please phone the centre to discuss any special needs.

Ability after course:

Able to sail in light winds under supervision
