RYA Level 2 (keelboat)

This 2 day course will typically follow on from the RYA level 1 course and will cover the following topics...........

boat familiarisation, boat checks, engine, stopping & starting, prop wash, motoring, seamanship skills, anchoring, parts of boat, use of winches, hoisting sails, all points of sailing, other water users, coming up to a buoy, coming alongside, knots, weather, beaufort scale, reefing afloat, harnesses, MOB using engine, MOB using sails,tides & tidal streams, first aid kit, flares, VHF.

At the end of the course you should be able to sail in all directions and make decisions in good conditions.
