RYA Offshore Safety (ISAF)

From Jan 2006 The RYA Course satisfying ISAF Special regulation 6.01 Training, has changed. This course satisfies the safety training requirement for sailors participating in ISAF Category 0 – 1 and 2 offshore sailing events.

This revised training course was instigated as a result of the Coroner’s findings of the 1998 Sydney Hobart Race to promote preventative safety measures for races. Although the course is designed for racing sailors TMS would also recommend this course to any offshore sailor.
