RYA Powerboat Level 2

This is a 2 day practical course, regarded by many as the 'driving licence' for powerboats,

it offers a thorough introduction to powerboat handling.

You will be using a Ribtec 535 with a Yamaha pro 75 outboard

The course fee is already very favourably priced but a further reduced course fee is available to Royal Southamtpon YC members.

Course Structure

09.30—5pm both days, includes short classroom sessions at the beginning of both days, followed by practical tuition

out on the water.

Includes morning tea/coffee.

Break for lunch somewhere suitable within Southampton Water area (remember to bring some money).

Useful Information

Ensure that you come kitted out in appropriate warm and waterproof clothing and footwear (boots recommended in winter months) and that you provide your own buoyancy aid or lifejacket. We can provide a lifejacket if necessary but please request in advance. Keep an eye on the forecast which will help you decide how many layers to bring. You may also wish to bring a towel – just in case!
