RYA PWC and PWI Jetski instructor course Package (PWCI)

If you need to complete both courses we offer a package including the RYA Jetski proficiency course (PWC) and Jetski instructor course (PWI)!

Please note this course is not designed for complete beginners, candidates are required to have at least one seasons PW driving experience.

RYA PWC Jet ski course

Duration: one day

Course information:

No previous experience is required for this course. The course will cover over one day; Launching, handling and recovery skills, passage planning and decision making, high and low speed riding skills, essential safety information, collision avoidance and orientation at sea.

After completion of this course you will be self-sufficient in good conditions, aware of the limitations of the craft and yourself.

Certificates for children aged between 12 and 16 will be endorsed to show that they must use PWs only under the supervision of a responsible adult

RYA PWI Jet Ski Instructor course

Duration: 3 days

Course Information:

Personal Watercraft (PW) Instructors are experienced PW drivers who have been trained and assessed to run the RYA's Personal Watercraft Proficiency Course and the Introduction to PW Safety course, which is for guests on Superyacht charter holidays.

The minimum age is 16 Three day course run by an RYA PW Trainer and assessed by an independent Trainer with a moderation on the third day.

Candidates who are already qualified as an RYA Powerboat Instructor may attend a one day conversion course, rather than the full three day course. The qualification will be valid for Five years from the date of issue, provided that a valid first aid certificate is maintained.
