RYA Safety Boat

A two-day course that will provide the candidates with the knowledge and skills that are needed to assist a multitude of craft with safety boat cover. Elements of the course include escorting other craft, covering safety for sailors, windsurfers and other water users and acting as a coach boat or race course safety craft.

Over the 2 days of the RYA Safety Boat Course you will work on mark laying, activity area management for racing and watersports and boat positioning. The course is designed specifically for those who will be acting a safety boat cover for various different scenarios. Boat handling skills such as coming alongside underway and standing off other craft will be taught.
