RYA Tender Operator Course

Ocean Sports Tuition are pleased to launch the brand new RYA Tender Operators course. This new course has been introduced because of the demand from the Super Yacht industry and has been a collaboration between the RYA and the PYA (Professional Yachting Association). This course has been designed to follow the RYA Power Boat Level 2 course and will teach students the ability to transfer crew and guests to and from the mother ship by day and night time.

Although the course is aimed at the super yacht industry, Ocean Sports Tuition feels this is also the perfect course for students who have attended the RYA Power Boat Level 2 that would like to gain a bit more day and night time experience before attending the RYA Advanced Power boat course.

Do I need previous experience?

Yes, minimum age of 17

RYA Powerboat level 2 – coastal

It is also a recommendation that students should have the following –

RYA VHF Certificate

RYA First Aid Certificate

What will I learn?

The RYA Tender Operator’s course will teach boat handling, night pilotage, knowledge of life saving equipment, rules of the road, passenger safety and comfort, emergency situations, type of tenders and their drive systems and legislation and guidance.

Course Schedule:

This is a two day course, this first day will run into an evening session with the second day finishing at 17:00. The cost of this exciting new RYA course is £345.
