A VHF radio is an essential piece of safety equipment and it is vital to understand the correct procedures which will be covered in this course.

To get the GMDSS VHF Radio Licence, (Short Range Certificate (SRC)) you must successfully complete the online course (or take the 1 day classroom based course) AND then take a separate classroom based written and practical assessment.

When you book our online course we will send you the e book or hard copy as well as your own RYA Interactive log in.

The RYA advise this course will take about 5 hours.

People of any age can take this course but you need to be of over 16 to be able to attend the assessment.

You can install the course on your computer and once downloaded onto your computer you no longer need an internet connection.

If you want an exam in your lunch time, after work of before work! we can come to you for only £100 plus the exam fee and travel, giving you total flexibility of time and location.

There is also a £60 licence fee payable to the RYA on the day and you will need to bring a passport photo and the code from your on line course.
