RYA VHF Marine Radio (SRC)

•Certifications

•Distress, Urgency , Safety and Routine traffic

•Navtex, SART’s and EPIRB\'s

•Practical sessions

Pre-course requirements: 3 hours study - book provided as part of fee

This includes full instructor tuition for theory and practice sessions on training radios and independent assessment upon completion – theory and practical. The day provides you with all you need to know to operate the marine radio competently and confidently.

With both options you need to undertake some pre-study – around 3 hours and we supply the RYA VHF Handbook and application form as part of the fee.

In both cases the training is done by one form of tuition and the assessment overseen by another assessor.

This means that our courses are satisfying the European legislation – CEPT (The European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations) regulations which mean your highly valued licence is recognised.

The licence is required by law for anyone owning or using a marine radio. ?Age for certificate is 16 (under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult to the classroom study)
