The 2 Oceans/RYA Yachtmaster Ocean Theory course covers the theory sections of the RYA syllabus so that you can sit the written part of the exam. (Further practical passage making is necessary in order to meet the requirements of an oral exam.)
Candidates wishing to gain the Yachtmaster Ocean Certificate need to ensure they have completed the theory component as well as taken sights at sea. They also need to hold a valid Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence.
The 2 Oceans/RYA Yachtmaster Ocean Theory course is run throughout the year.
