Eligibility
Seafarers who have an STCW Advanced Firefighting certificate
Or
Seafarers training of the Advanced Firefighting (4 day) undertaken prior to 31.01.2002
Course content
This is a theoretical (classroom based) course. The content is focused on controlling Firefighting operations on board ship, organising and training fire parties, fixed systems and fire investigations.
Assessment Methods
Will be in the form oral questioning and group work.
Certification
Certificates will be awarded to all students successfully completing the course.
Certificated to Regulation VI/3, paragraph 1 and section A-VI/3, paragraphs 5 and 6 of the STCW Convention and Code 1978, as amended.
