STCW Basic Refresher Training is a two day long course comprised of two modules. It is required for commercial maritime seafarers who already hold the STCW Basic Safety Training certificates and require the updated STCW certification in accordance with the STCW 2010 Manila Amendments. The two day STCW Basic Refresher Training package provides the practical skills and knowledge to be certificated for the STCW Personal Survival Techniques & STCW Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting Refresher modules of training. Course Structure
The STCW Basic Refresher training takes place over two days and is delivered through a combination of theory and hands-on exercises with focus on the practical elements of training. Personal Survival Techniques includes principals of survival at sea, use of lifejackets and life-rafts, life-raft management and search and rescue training. The course includes a practical session in the pool. Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting includes learning the risks of fire and fire prevention, responding to emergencies, the use of fire-fighting equipment and fire extinguishing techniques. The course includes practical sessions at our fire ground. Pre-requisite You are required to be over 18 years of age and in possession of an existing STCW Personal Survival Techniques and Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting certificate.
