WSET Award in Wines Level 2

WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is our most popular wine course, suitable for anyone looking to build a career in the hospitality industry as well as enthusiastic wine-lovers who simply want to find out more about their favourite local and international wines. The course covers the world's great grape varieties, how they behave in different countries and regions, how sparkling, sweet and fortified wines are made.

Wines are not included in the course and you will find in the Online Classroom recommended wines to taste. Wine tasting is not compulsory with WSET Level 2 but it will assist your studies if you are able to taste some during your course.

Your Study Books

The course books can either be given to you either as eBooks or hard copy books:

• eBooks - no additional cost but they are not downloadable for printing and you only have access to them for one year. Please see the attached pdf for further information. OR
• hardcopy books - can be couriered to you anywhere in South Africa for no additional cost. We can also courier them internationally. However, there would be an additional fee depending on the destination.

This fully inclusive internationally recognised wine course can be taken anywhere in the world - as long as you have internet access!

Course Structure

The course runs over a five week period as a structured learning programme but you are free to login and study at any time as you are not required to be online at any specific time. 

The exam can also be taken online where you have one hour to complete 50 multiple choice questions where you are required to achieve 55% or greater to pass.
