We are supporting our longstanding client in their search for a Private Rota Chef, on a 15 days on/15 days off basis, with a salary on offer of €90,000-€100,000 (€500-€600 per day).
In the role of Private Rota Chef, you will be primarily based in the family’s prestigious Regents Park home, but will be required to travel occasionally with the family when on rota, including accompanying them on their yacht.
Candidates must have a passion for Ottolenghi and Mediterranean style dishes, with a British culinary background.
When on rota, accommodation will be provided.
Main responsibilities:
Weekly menu planning in accordance with family dietary requirements
Development of menus showcasing a variety of flavours and cuisines, but with focus on Mediterranean and Ottolenghi-style dishes
Manage last minute requests from their family and their guests
Ensure excellent quality of food with minimal repetition
Ensure all food safety & hygiene regulations are followed
Manage stock levels in the kitchen and pantry, as well as ordering the required ingredients when on rota
Be able to travel with the family when required, and provide excellent service
The ideal candidate for this role:
Minimum of 5+ years experience in private households, and yachting experience
Efficient and clear communication to be able to liaise with the other Chef and the Principal\'s team
Display a high level of creativity and innovation for dish and menu creation
Knowledge of current dining trends
Be able to showcase a portfolio of work that caters to Mediterranean and Ottolenghi-style dishes
