Position:  CAPTAIN  - 500gt  

Great for a LOCAL S. Florida captain that wants to go home most evenings, while the yacht is not traveling. May go to NE for 1 to 2 months end of August. TBD.

Itinerary:  Local S. Florida cruising, Keys, Bahamas - may take it up north for a month or two in August but this is not confirmed.

Licence Required:  Master 500gt

Requirements:    3+ years on similar sized vessels. Good longevity, strong verifiable references,  light to non drinkers preferred.

STCW + Refresher

ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months)

US Passport

Covid vaccination

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Primary responsibilities include:

Safely operate and navigate the vessel

Oversee and manage all aspects of vessel operations, including crew management, maintenance, and logistics.

Ensure the safety and well-being of guests and crew at all times

Plan and execute itineraries based on guest preferences, weather conditions, and safety considerations.

Provide exceptional hospitality and customer service to guests, anticipating their needs and exceeding their expectations.

Maintain the vessel in pristine condition

Manage inventory, provisioning, and budgeting for onboard supplies and provisions.

Communicate effectively with guests, crew, and shore-based management staff to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences.

The Captain and team will be responsible for basic maintenance 

Overseeing specific subcontractors (larger engine services, stabilizer maintenance, etc.) as needed for all vessels.

Collaborate with accounting department, and management company to ensure smooth scheduling, customer experience, cash management, legal compliance, and vendor management.

 

 

Other: Background check and drug testing may apply.

Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience.

 

Package: Medical coverage, flights to and from the vessel, paid leave, etc. to be finalized during interview process.
