Summary

We are looking for a full time Deckhand/Driver for a 41m private yacht which runs with 9 crew. Looking to start in September.

We are looking for someone who is a team player, has a positive attitude and is responsible as the deckhand/driver major responsibility during the summer is driving the guests and being responsible for the guest car. Day to day the deckhand/driver works closely with the Bosun, under the direction of the First Mate, maintaining and cleaning the yachts exterior.

This position requires a high level Colreg knowledge as all deck crew drive the tenders and carry out bridge watches under the guidance of the First Mate. This is a full time position and we encourage studying so this is a great position for someone looking to grow within yachting.

During winter the Boat is based in El Gouna Egypt. The crew live ashore when in El Gouna, Egypt, Apartment accommodations supplied. When in El Gouna the yacht is more a day boat so to speak. The yacht’s itinerary is roughly 60 days summer in Mykonos and cruising around the Med in the summer

The family:

Lazy Me is a family boat, the “children” are in their early twenties-mid twenties. The family are fun, lovely and polite (boat is an extension of their home) but like things a certain way and on time. We sometimes have a full boat and sometimes not so it is not always busy although during the main trips it can be quite fast paced.

Package:

 3000 euro per month permanent

 Training programme: the boat will pay 50% of the cost upon completion of the course and the other 50% a year after completion
