ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Previous private house experience, strong organisational and communication skills, ability to multi-task, flexibility to travel as required.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced House Manager to join a busy private family based in Sussex. The ideal candidate will preferably be local to Sussex. The House Manager will work Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5:30pm, with additional weekend work required according to the family\'s schedule.

Key responsibilities include managing the primary residence, a Manor that is currently undergoing significant projects and improvements. This role will involve proposing and replacing cutlery and crockery, organizing warehouse spaces for optimal storage, and setting up various properties on the estate.

The House Manager will be responsible for overseeing these projects and ensuring that the household runs smoothly and efficiently.

Additionally, the successful candidate will assist with the family\'s properties in London, France, and Amsterdam as needed. This will require occasional travel and flexibility.

Effective communication is crucial for this position. The House Manager will act as a close liaison to the principals, ensuring clear and consistent communication with them, as well as with other household staff and team members. This is a fully staffed property so essential you are a team player.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and managerial skills, who is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The ability to communicate effectively with the family and team is essential.
