We are in need of a Temporary Captain to receive the vessel from the shipping company in Port Everglades, US, that is due to be shipped across the Atlantic departing on the 25th October. The vessel will then move to the Bahamas and prepare the vessel for the start of the Caribbean charter season. The vessel is a recently launched 2023 CDM explorer and runs with 7 multinational crew. Some crew may be on leave as the vessel arrives so a few tempoarary crew may need to be arranged depending upon movement needs after the vessel is unloaded so good contacts in the US may be needed. The permanent Captain will then return just before the first trip of the season.
Preference will be given to candidates based in or around the caribbean alreay and familiar with the Florida coast/ Bahamas but we can also fly candidates in if needed - We CANNOT hire Americans unfortunaltey due to insurance stipulations. Master <500 GT (Y) or equivalent minimum with 1-2 years of Captains experience on similar sized vessels. This will be around 3 weeks work.
