Essential Requirements: Previous Private House & Hotel Management Experience Required, Top Butler and Management Skills, Valeting experience, Driver.
A superb and exciting opportunity for an experienced and traditional House Manager/Butler to manage and oversee a new build home on a country estate in Dorset and being a part of a growing team. We are looking for a candidate who will be involved in the challenging task of all final preparations to the property; working alongside architects, interior designers, building contractors and the Estate Manager to ensure the house is set up, provisioned, working systems established, etc., and ready to receive clients and guests.
Duties will include:
· Managing the day-to-day operations of the house.
· Creating Standard of Procedures for all aspects of the house, for example, service and the procedures needed.
· Valeting of family and guest items
· Manage the house budget.
· Manage the maintenance of the house.
· Check stock levels of drinks and make sure all items are within date.
· Clean outdoor clothing when family/guests return ready for next use.
· Maintain all vehicles used by the household.
· Clean the silver/crystal and other delicate items.
· Log baskets are topped up.
· Cigars are kept correctly.
· Communicate well with housekeeping and the kitchen to ensure the smooth running of the house.
· Manage and document all the art in the house.
· Document all gifts and items that move from property to property.
· The role will require both informal and formal occasions.
High end butler and valeting skills are imperative, excellent front of house experience, being comfortable working in both formal and informal settings.
May be required on occasion to work in other properties. Driver essential. Accommodation can be provided. Top negotiable salary for the right candidate.
