2nd Officer - Sailing Yacht (Genova Shipyard)

Duration: 6 Months (with the possibility of extension)
Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented 2nd Officer to assist with the refit and maintenance of a sailing yacht at a shipyard in Genova. The candidate will ensure that all operations follow ISM regulations and maintain high safety standards throughout the project.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the daily supervision of the shipyard operations during the refit of the sailing yacht.
Ensure compliance with ISM (International Safety Management) Code and all safety protocols.
Work closely with the Captain, shipyard crew, and contractors to coordinate schedules and activities.
Oversee deck operations, monitor ongoing work, and ensure adherence to safety standards.
Ensure the safety of crew and contractors by enforcing strict safety measures.
Provide regular updates to the Captain.
Supervise maintenance and repairs to ensure work is completed to the highest standard.
Qualifications:
Valid CM3000 Tickets (STCW, GMDSS, and all relevant certifications).
Experience working in shipyards, preferably with sailing yachts or similar vessels.
Strong understanding of ISM Code and maritime safety regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced shipyard environment and handle multiple tasks.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Fluent in English.
Contract:
- 6 months with potential for extension.
Crew currently based only in Europe
