Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Chief Engineer to join our high-profile 39m yacht. This is not a role for the faint-hearted – problem-solving and daily repairs will be a crucial part of your responsibilities, as this vessel is heavily used.
Technical Details:
- 2 x Caterpillar main engines with a combined power of 1000 kW
- 13 knots top speed
Position Overview: The yacht will cruise around Italy for the summer season with 8-9 weeks of charters booked. You’ll be working with a crew of 9 to ensure the vessel runs smoothly and remains in top condition. This is a permanent position for the summer, with rotation only considered after the season to allow for a comprehensive handover between engineers.
Requirements:
- EOOW (Engineer Officer of the Watch) or higher qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
- Prior experience on similar-sized yachts
- Ability to manage maintenance and repairs under pressure
